Pat Sajak is an American television game show host known for being the face of Wheel of Fortune. Pat began his career as a radio DJ in the mid-1960s before becoming a TV weatherman on channels in Nashville and Los Angeles. In 1981 Sajak took over the Wheel of Fortune duties from Chuck Woolery. He has now been the host of the program for five decades alongside his co-presenter Vanna White.

Born on October 26, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois, his middle name is Leonard. Sajak shortened his Polish surname from Sajdak when he entered showbiz. His star sign is Scorpio.

On his Twitter account Pat makes self-depreciating jokes and seems to generally be in it for fun. However, there have been some tweets where he has earned the ire of climate change supporters. In May 2014 Sajak pressed send and made one such quip:

“I now believe global warming alarmists are unpatriotic racists knowingly misleading for their own ends. Good night.” (3)

The tweet has since been deleted from Sajak’s account.
